Compression stockings in everyday life
Many people find it hard to imagine wearing compression stockings at a young age. But the older you get, the greater the risk of contracting one of the following diseases. For example, many suffer from varicose veins, leg vein thrombosis, postthrombotic syndrome or lymphoedema, open legs or lipedema. If you suffer from any of these problems, you can be sure that your doctor will recommend compression therapy.
The aim of this therapy is to constrict the venous leg vessels by developing permanent pressure, which increases the flow rate of the blood. This increases the return flow of blood to the heart and reduces edema (swelling of body tissue). Of course, it is not necessary to wear cumbersome compression bandages. To make your everyday life as easy as possible, compression stockings have been developed. A distinction is made here between the following types of support stockings:
- Fine support stockings and
tights
- Functional support stockings
- sports compression
- Compression therapy round
knitted
- Compression therapy flat knitted
- diabetic socks
- dressing help
These stockings are available in knee (AD), half leg (AF), thigh length (AG), as well as tights (AT, for both sexes) and possibly also as maternity pants (ATU). In our shop you will find all of the types and designs of support stockings mentioned above in the categories.
